About Our Kennel
We are a family of dog lovers who have the good fortune to own and breed beautiful Labradors in the inner western suburbs of Melbourne.
With a breeding history spanning the past 25 years, our focus rests heavily on breeding for temperament and strong, healthy form. Our pups grow into beautiful, healthy labradors that, true to the breed, make extraordinary family dogs with a versility in nature that affords them the ability to fit into most lifestyles.
All of our puppies are raised indoors, in a loving family environment. They are handled by children and are accustomed to cats, chooks and other pets. Puppies all go to their new approved homes with initial vaccinations, fully wormed, micro-chipped and with a final vet check.
Under no circumstances are pups able to go to their new homes earlier than eight weeks of age. Please do not ask.
MANGIATO:
What Does Our Kennel Name Mean You Ask?
Our kennel name, Mangiato, is an Italian word meaning ‘I’m eating’, in a continuous sense. We believe that if Labradors were allowed to write their own mission statement (and were suave enough to speak Italian) mangiato would about sum it up!
Avenir Light is a clean and stylish font favored by designers. It's easy on the eyes and a great go to font for titles, paragraphs & more.

Why pay for a dog purchased through a registered breeder?
We are registered as a kennel with Dogs Victoria because we believe that subscribing to a strong ethical framework is important. If you're planning on bringing a dog into your family, it is crucial that you have knowledge of health, background, breeding and the type of temperament you can expect from your dog. This knowledge can only come with a dog from a quality registered breeder, genetic testing and a pedigree.
In addition to this, all breeds of dogs have certain anomalies known to the breed. For Labradors it is most notably hips and elbows and a variety of genetic traits. The testing undergone by a Registered breeder significantly reduces the risks of a puppy developing problems.
If you are unable to purchase a puppy from us we strongly urge you to seek another registered breeder.
